Reference Spectrum Measurement

Before measuring a sample, you need to measure a reference spectrum in order to correct for stray light and other impurities within the measurement compartment or accessory.

How do I know if a reference measurement is required?

The software will prompt you to perform a reference measurement automatically if required.

  1. Setup the measurement parameters (see Spectrum Measurement).

  2. Remove any sample from the compartment.

  3. Click the **Reference-**button in the Instrument panel or select the command Reference in the TIDAS instrument menu.

  4. A Reference spectrum can be saved optionally. please refer to the Parameter Editor for further details. After the dark signal measurement is completed, you are ready to record spectra. Please refer to the chapter "Spectrum Measurement" for details.
