License Creation And Registration Information

labCognition keeps all license information transparent to you and your company. You will be informed on license creation as well as on end user registration via email. The notification scheme and according email addresses can be configured here. This way you can keep all concerning departments in your company updated, e.g. accounting, sales, service and support, etc.

LICENSE CREATION Email Field

Enter one or more email addresses into this field if you like to be informed on any license creation. Email addresses need to be separated by a ";" semicolon delimiter.

A standard email with full license information is submitted to all email addresses whenever a license has been created. The email looks like this (or similar):

Your accounting department might use this information to synchronize and cross-check created licenses with incoming invoices from labCognition. The Licensing Tool user sales department or service and support might use this information as well to keep track on new licenses or license updates.

SERIAL NUMBER REGISTRATION Email Field

Enter one or more email addresses into this field if you like to be informed on any registration information of end users. Email addresses need to be separated by a ";" semicolon delimiter.

When creating licenses either serial numbers or dongles typically the end user registration information is not available when the license is created in production. Finally the end user needs to register and activate the product license after installation of the product on his PC. If the end user purchased a serial number license providing registration information is mandatory. If he purchased a dongle license the end user can fill the registration form shown on first start-up of the product on a voluntary basis. In both cases the end user registration information is sent to labCognition after the product registration is completed at the end users site.
