Convolution

Convolution is often used with noisy spectra to emphasize relevant information and to wipe out background noise.

Convolution is performed as follows:

Convolution menu command​

To apply convolution using the menu command, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Activate the 2D data view with objects to be transformed.

  2. From the Mathematics menu, select the Convolution command.

  3. In the Mathematics tab, adjust convolution parameters.

  • Adjust the Full width at half Maximum of the fit function.

  • Adjust the Response Function Setting Filter Function.

  1. Press the Calculate button.
